Ireland's batters, for their part, got starts but did make full use of them. Six Ireland batters got past 20 but, from there, none could get past 35 - Mary Waldron (35) and Arlene Kelly (34) were the top scorers. Most of the damage was caused by regular strikes from the spin bowlers. Left-arm spinner Nashra Sandhu and legspinner Ghulam Fatima took three wickets apiece while right-arm seamer Fatima Sana took two.
