Toss South Africa chose to bowl vs Ireland
The series is picking up where it left off with Temba Bavuma opting for his bowling attack to make first use of conditions, this time under sunny skies in Dublin. South Africa made one change to the attack that bowled 40.2 overs in the wash out on Sunday, with Lungi Ngidi rested and Anrich Nortje brought back into the team.
Quinton de Kock remains rested with Janneman Malan getting an opportunity to partner Aiden Markram at the top. South Africa stuck with two spinners in their team, with both Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi included, and three seamers with Andile Phehlukwayo as the allrounder.
Ireland also made one change, leaving out William Porterfield for South African-both Curtis Campher. Porterfield returned after being dropped for a match against Netherlands for the first ODI and scored his first half-century since May 2019 but was nursing an injured finger on the eve of the match. Campher is making his comeback from ankle surgery and will take on the team from the country of his birth for the first time.
