Quick times in British Milers’ Club races at Loughborough, plus Tooting and Stretford in our UK track and field results round-up for August

SAUCONY BMC GRAND PRIX, Loughborough, August 27

Ben Pattison won the overall men’s Grand Prix title by moving up to 1500m and destroying his 1500m PB with a fast last lap and running 3:39.14.

Calli Thackery won a poorly attended 5000m where she was the only British competitor and there was only one other finisher and her largely solo 15:20.65 gave her time bonuses and the overall women’s Grand Prix title and, like Pattison, won the £1000 prize.

Tom Keen won the 800m in 1:46.99 and Hugo Milner took the 5000m in 13:49.89 from Jacob Cann’s 13:51.25 PB.

World under-20 finalist Abigail Ives finished second in an exciting 800m in a PB 2:01.56 to American Brenna Detra’s 2:01.49.

Jamaica’s world and Olympic 800m finalist Natoye Goule was a welcome addition to the field and she moved up to 1500m and won in 4:10.70 from Eloise Walker (4:12.13) and Hannah Nuttall (4:12.54).
