Dusty Baker will return as the Houston Astros' manager for the 2023 season after leading the team to a World Series championship this season, the team announced Wednesday.
He signed a one-year contract, the team announced.
The 73-year-old Baker won his first World Series title in his 25th season as a major league manager when the Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in six games. It was the franchise's second championship.
The Astros went 106-56 in the regular season, posting the American League's best record, and then went 11-2 in the postseason.
