At training camp Thursday, August 8, 2019, Kansas City Chiefs' Head Coach Andy Reid said, “Everybody will play in the game,” referring to Saturday’s preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes will get things started for the Chiefs against Cincinnati in the preseason opener for both teams at Arrowhead Stadium. Chad Henne will play the second quarter, Kyle Shurmur will take the third and last year’s practice-squad quarterback, Chase Litton, will play the fourth.
