Davis Cup: BBC Sport to stream Great Britain's qualifier against Colombia

The BBC will stream live coverage of Great Britain's Davis Cup qualifier against Colombia from 3-4 February.

Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans, Jack Draper, Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury are in the GB squad for their high-altitude qualifier at the Pueblo Viejo Country Club in Colombia.

Both days will be shown in full on BBC iPlayer and on the BBC Sport website.

The tie starts at 20:00 GMT on Friday 3 February, five days after the end of the Australian Open.

The contest, played at 2,500 metres above sea level, will then resume on Saturday at 17:00 GMT.

Great Britain, who last won the title in 2015, were eliminated in the group stages of this year's Finals.

Colombia lost 4-0 to the United States in their final qualification play-off.

The tie can be watched on BBC iPlayer, the BBC Sport website and the BBC Sport mobile app.

Qualifiers for the Davis Cup take place in February, before the eight-team finals are held in Malaga in November.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) ended its deal with ex-footballer Gerard Pique's company to organise the competition earlier in January, leading to fears about the future of the tournament.

However, the four Grand Slams said on Friday that they were united in supporting the tournament in the future.

"Protecting the heritage of the sport and safeguarding major teams competitions such as the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup is a priority for the global tennis community and will appropriately get the Grand Slams' full attention," the Grand Slam board said in a statement.

"We believe there is an opportunity to engage in further discussions regarding the future of the Davis Cup competition with the ambition of seeing it restored to a premier event with an optimal format and place in the calendar that benefits players, fans and the sport overall."

The BBC Sport website is available via desktop, mobile, tablet and app, giving easy access to the live stream, text commentaries, news, reports and schedules. The BBC Sport app is available free on Apple and Android devices.
