LeBron James will miss his second straight game with left ankle soreness when the Los Angeles Lakers play the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, the team announced.
James underwent medical imaging on his left foot this week that did not show any significant damage other than general wear and tear, according to Lakers coach Darvin Ham.
"We're grateful that things came back clean and good," Lakers vice president of basketball operations and general manager Rob Pelinka told reporters on a conference call Saturday.
The new-look Lakers will have to wait to see how their new players in D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Mo Bamba and Davon Reed look alongside L.A.'s star.
Russell, Beasley, Vanderbilt and Reed are expected to be in uniform against the Warriors. Bamba has two more games to serve on a suspension stemming from an altercation with Austin Rivers before he'll be in uniform.
