Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a right knee injury and exited with 1:13 remaining in the first quarter of Friday night's game against the Miami Heat.
The Bucks said he has been ruled out for the rest of the game.
Antetokounmpo was hurt when he knocked knees with a Heat player during the game, the team said. Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer called a rare mid-possession timeout with six seconds remaining on the shot clock to replace a hindered Antetokounmpo.
Antetokounmpo was listed on the injury report earlier Friday with a right wrist injury he hurt before the All-Star break, but after steadily improving all week, he was able to start Friday's game.
He played six minutes on Friday and had four points, four rebounds and four assists.
Antetokounmpo missed time earlier this season with a left knee injury.
