Toss England chose to bowl vs Bangladesh

England captain Jos Buttler let out a smile after winning the team's first toss in 2023. They decided to bowl first against Bangladesh in the third T20I in Dhaka, although the game is a dead rubber as the home side have clinched the series already.

Buttler said that they wanted to finish strong in their Bangladesh tour. His opposite number, Shakib Al Hasan, said that he would have wanted to bowl first too, but judged that the pitch was better than the one from the second T20I (albeit it is the same strip).

The home team has made two changes. They brought back Shamim Hossain and handed a debut to Tanvir Islam, the left-arm spinner who was the joint highest wicket-taker in this season's BPL. He replaces Nasum Ahmed while Afif Hossain makes way for Shamim at No. 7.

England are going with the same playing XI.

Bangladesh: 1 Rony Talukdar, 2 Najmul Hossain Shanto, 3 Litton Das, 4 Shakib Al Hasan (capt), 5 Towhid Hridoy, 6 Shamim Hossain, 7 Mehidy Hasan Miraz, 8 Taskin Ahmed, 9 Tanvir Islam, 10 Hasan Mahmud, 11 Mustafizur Rahman

England: 1 Phil Salt, 2 Jos Buttler, 3 Dawid Malan, 4 Ben Duckett, 5 Moeen Ali, 6 Sam Curran, 7 Chris Woakes, 8 Chris Jordan, 9 Adil Rashid, 10 Jofra Archer, 11 Rehan Ahmed
