The latest briefs, on court and off, in the world of squash

England Squash has announced a new multi-year headline partnership deal for its British Junior Open with Dunlop.

The two-year deal, which starts in 2024, will see Dunlop provide event prizes, welcome bag goodies to hundreds of international competitors and balls for the event.

The committee of Leyburn Community Leisure and Squash Club want to buy the building to secure its future for the North Yorkshire community.

The club has been asked to submit an application into the Community Ownership Fund, which helps local communities save local assets.

The current members committee has been running the club successfully since 2016 and have a strong business plan to secure the club and take it forward, said the committee.

Good news from Ireland where membership has doubled since Kilkenny Squash Club relaunched last year.

The resurgence follows a campaign from the club committee who feared they would lose their home. Membership has now grown to its highest in years.

The City club has now entered provincial Leinster League and Three River League, between Tipperary, Kilkenny and Waterford players.

Bouldering and a climbing wall is replacing the old squash courts there, as well as two party rooms.

The Ukrainian Squash Federation has implemented a free training programme for children, launching the Kyiv Sports Childrens and Youth Sports School (CYSS).

Nicol David continues to inspire off the court. The Malaysian will be speaking at the Tatler Gen.T Summit, the ideas and innovation festival which takes place at the M+ museum in Hong Kong in early November.

The expansion of the PSAs Women In Coaching Fund, which funds coaching qualifications for women in our sport, has now launched its second phase in Malaysia in partnership with Nicol David Organisation.

As well as her foundation work, the squash great, who retired in 2019, was appointed earlier this year as Malaysias Deputy Chef de Mission for next years Paris Olympics.
