Wes Agar to rejoin Kent for Championship, Blast in 2024
Written by I Dig SportsAgar, 26, enjoyed a successful stint in Canterbury earlier this year, taking 21 wickets at 28.33 in the County Championship as well as seven in five Blast appearances.
"I'm so stoked to be coming back to Kent again in 2024," Agar said. "I absolutely loved being a part of the squad in 2023, Kent Cricket is such a special club and I'm really excited to be coming back for the new season.
"I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting started with the lads in April."
Kent secured their Division One status on the final day of the season, with Agar their joint-leading wicket-taker alongside Matt Quinn despite only playing six games as a last-minute signing.
Agar, who last week claimed his best first-class figures of 6 for 42 in South Australia's defeat to Western Australia, is expected to be involved in up to ten Championship fixtures next summer, as well as the group stage of the Blast.
Kent's Director of Cricket, Simon Cook, said: "We're delighted to have Wes with us again for a big part of our season in 2024. He was a big addition to our squad this past season, contributing across two formats, as well as becoming a big part of the dressing room.
"We hope to see more big performances from Wes in a Kent shirt in 2024."
