Uzbekistan focused on youth development supported by ITTF Participation Program
Written by I Dig SportsUnder the expert guidance of ITTF Expert Youssef Rabie from Egypt, currently working with Saudi national teams across all junior categories (U11 to U19), the training sessions were carefully organized. Four sessions per day, each lasting two hours, were conducted for two groups selected based on their skill levels. The initial days emphasized technical skills, gradually transitioning in the latter part of the camp to focus on tactical and mental exercises.
Ruslan Orazmetov, a coach, reflected on the positive developments, stating, Our young players absorbed a wealth of valuable information during these days, showcasing noticeable progress. They have begun to approach table tennis with a more thoughtful mindset, concentrating on how to apply the knowledge theyve gained.
Dilmurod Mukhammadov, the U13 Boys Singles champion in 2023, expressed his satisfaction with the training under Coach Youssef, noting improvements in his topspin and service. He found the exercises engaging and expressed increased motivation to intensify his training.
Uzbekistans youth players consistently participate and perform well in WTT Youth Contender events, securing medals across various categories. The federations proactive engagement in the Central Asian region is evident, highlighted by the successful organization of the Central Asian Hopes Week and Challenge in late October. Preceding the training camp, a female player qualified for the next continental stage. Furthermore, Uzbekistan is set to host the first WTT Youth Contender in Toshkent in August 2024.

During their holidays our kids from all the regions of our country could improve their table tennis skills and enjoyed all the intense training sessions with the expert who showed a lot of dedication and friendliness to them and motivated them to work harder and love table tennis more.
