The Green Bay Packers appear intent on extending the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving Day misery.
The Packers (4-6), winners of two of their past three heading into Ford Field on Thursday, went into the halftime break with a 23-6 lead over the Lions (8-2). Quarterback Jordan Love had a sensational first half for the Pack, completing 15 of 20 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns over the first 30 minutes.
The Lions, who moved to 8-2 for the first time since 1962 with Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears, entered their annual holiday matchup having lost a franchise-record six straight games on Thanksgiving Day. A victory on Nov. 24, 2016, over the Minnesota Vikings was the last time Ford Field patrons went home happy on the holiday.
Following Packers-Lions on Thursday will be the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Washington Commanders (4:30 p.m. CBS) and the Seattle Seahawks welcoming the San Francisco 49ers (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC).
