West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl first against England in the third and deciding ODI in Barbados, which has been reduced to 43-overs a side after persistent rain caused a two-hour delay to proceedings.
Given the time spent under covers, there is the possibility of extra juice in the pitch which, combined with the cloud cover and moisture in the air might have led home skipper Shai Hope to ask Jos Buttler's charges to bat first. England did so in the first ODI, scoring 325 before Hope's 16th ODI century and a 28-ball 48 from Romario Shepherd gave the hosts what had looked an unlikely win, after they had been reduced to 213 for 5 in the 39th over.
West Indies: 1 Brandon King, 2 Kjorn Ottley, 3 Alick Athanaze, 4 Shai Hope (capt, wk), 5 Keacy Carty, 6 Shimron Hetmyer, 7 Sherfane Rutherford, 8 Yannic Cariah, 9 Alzarri Joseph, 10 Gudakesh Motie, 11 Matthew Forde
England: 1 Will Jacks, 2 Phil Salt, 3 Zak Crawley, 4 Harry Brook, 5 Ben Duckett, 6 Jos Buttler (capt & wk), 7 Liam Livingstone, 8 Sam Curran, 9 Matthew Potts, 10 Rehan Ahmed, 11 Gus Atkinson.
