The Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Zach Plesac have agreed to a one-year, $1 million deal, the team announced Saturday.

In a corresponding move, the Angels outrighted left-handed reliever Adam Kolarek to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Plesac, who turns 29 this month, was selected by Cleveland in the 12th round of the 2016 MLB draft out of Ball State and spent part of five seasons with the franchise.

He was 26-27 for the Guardians with a 4.20 ERA in 84 games (83 starts). He struck out 359 batters in 466 innings.

In 2023, Plesac started five games with the Guardians, posting a 1-1 record with a 7.59 ERA in 21 innings. He appeared in 19 games (18 starts) for Triple-A Columbus and had a 5-6 record and 6.08 ERA in 94 innings.

The Angels had signed Kolarek, who turns 35 on Jan. 14, as a free agent in November. He spent the 2023 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets and didn't give up a run in six innings spread over five relief appearances.

He has played in 175 games with the Tampa Bay Rays (2017-19), Dodgers (2019-20, 2023), Oakland Athletics (2021-22) and Mets and has an 11-4 record and 3.62 ERA with four saves.
