Britain's Evans and Broady beaten in Florida

British number two Evans lost in straight sets to Australian world number 43 Jordan Thompson.
Broady was beaten in three sets by another Australian Rinky Hijikata.
The 30-year-old was making his first appearance since suffering an ankle injury at Hong Kong Open at the start of January that forced him to withdraw from the Australian Open.
The British number five lost a topsy-turvy contest 6-2 1-6 6-1 to world number 84 Hijikata, who will face Italian sixth seed Matteo Arnaldi in the next round.
Evans, seeded seventh, lost a tight first set 7-5 but was blown away in the second, with Thompson taking just 33 minutes to take it 6-0 and seal victory.
Thompson will play the winner of the match between wildcard Aleksandar Kovacevic and qualifier Nicolas Moreno de Alboran in the second round.
