Gloucester-Hartpury top after five-try win over Sale
Written by I Dig Sports
Gloucester-Hartpury went top of the Premiership Women's Rugby table with a 29-3 win against Sale Sharks.
Sale took the lead at Hartpury University Stadium against the unbeaten hosts when Beatrice Rigoni clipped over a penalty from the '22' line.
But the hosts responded emphatically by racking up 29 points without reply.
Tries from Sarah Beckett, Kathryn Buggy, Steph Else, Alex Matthews and Kelsey Jones earned the home side a winning bonus point.
The Circus' win takes them top of the table on 49 points, four clear of Saracens.
The Sharks, who have won just once this season, remain bottom of the table.
Saracens are next in action on 3 March when they host Leicester Tigers.
