England's Feyi-Waboso ruled out of Six Nations finale

England wing Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has been ruled out of the Six Nations finale against France on Saturday because of concussion.

Feyi-Waboso, 21, played a starring role in the 23-22 win over Ireland last weekend, but he reported concussion symptoms on Monday.

Attack coach Richard Wigglesworth confirmed Feyi-Waboso will be unavailable for the trip to Lyon.

"We don't take any risks with that sort of stuff," Wigglesworth said.

"There was no major incident. He had a knock and didn't feel quite right, so he reported the symptoms and then was removed accordingly.

"He's obviously gutted, but being the smart lad he is, he reported his symptoms. He did the right thing."

The Exeter Chiefs youngster was a probable starter in Lyon after playing a vital role in Marcus Smith's match-winning drop-goal against Ireland with a powerful carry down the wing in the closing stages.

Elliot Daly, who started England's opening three games ahead of Feyi-Waboso, is likely to regain his place in the line-up.

Feyi-Waboso's rise has been remarkable. Just 18 months ago he was playing for Taunton Titans in National One, but after establishing himself at Exeter he broke into the England squad for the Six Nations, scoring his first try off the bench against Scotland in round three.

Wigglesworth said: "I think his introduction to Test rugby has been managed pretty well, in terms of he gets in the squad and has a bit of time off the bench and is more confident in how we would want him to put his talents on the field, and that obviously showed on the weekend.

"But long term it's great for him that he has shown at Test level he can go and put his talents on the field because as a winger that is what you want to do."
