It's the 2024 Concacaf Nations League Final everyone expected and let's be honest the matchup we all wanted United States vs. Mexico.

The two bitter rivals met in the tournament's inaugural final game in June 2021, where USMNT claimed the title in a 3-2 extra-time thriller. USMNT and El Tri crossed paths again in the second iteration of the Concacaf Nations League in 2023, but in a semifinal matchup. The United States won again, but blew Mexico out 3-0.

Now, headed into the third all-time Concacaf Nations League Final, USMNT and El Tri are in seemingly different form. The United States narrowly escaped a massive upset to Jamaica in its semifinal, leveling the match in the final seconds and claiming victory in extra-time. Mexico, on the other hand, dominated Panama from start to finish in its semifinal.
