USMNT vs. Mexico: Gregg Berhalter full post-match press conference | Concacaf Nations League 3.24.24
Written by Sports NewsThe United States defended its Concacaf Nations League title against their bitter rival, Mexico, in a 2-0 to claim their third championship in a row.
Tyler Adams scored first for USMNT with a right footed strike from well outside the 18-yard box just moments before halftime. Adams, who had come back from injury for the first time in the semifinal against Jamaica, only played the first half and was subbed out after 45 minutes.
Giovanni Reyna, who assisted both extra-time goals in the semifinal, scored a goal of his own in Sunday's final against Mexico. According to ESPN, since Berhalter's first match back as U.S. manager last September, Reyna has the most goal contributions (four goals and two assists in five matches) of any U.S. player.
In claiming the 2024 Concacaf Nations League trophy, the United States are the three-time champions and the only nation to win the tournament since its inception in 2019.
Both the United States and Mexico will now look ahead to 2024 Copa America, which will also take place in America and AT&T Stadium is one of the venues. The United States will face Bolivia in Copa America on June 23 at AT&T Stadium.
