Wrexham forward Paul Mullin scored his 100th goal for the club with his header against Colchester United on Saturday.

Mullin has been instrumental to Wrexham's rise in recent years, scoring 47 goals in all competitions last season as they won the National League title and earned promotion to League Two for the first time in 15 years.

As the side now competes for back-to-back promotions, Mullin has been in strong form again with the milestone strike his 19th in the league this season.

The goal, which drew Wrexham level in the second-half against Colchester, came from a Ryan Barnett cross that the 29-year-old headed in from close-range.

Max Cleworth's 85th minute winner completed the comeback for Wrexham and took them into second-place in the table, four points behind leaders Stockport County.

The top three sides will earn automatic promotion to League One -- two leagues below the Premier League -- while the next four teams will enter the playoffs.

Mullin signed with the club in July 2021 from Cambridge United and has twice won Wrexham's player of the year award, as well as the FA Cup Golden Ball award in the 2022-23 season as the competition's top goal scorer.

His goal on Saturday moves him to equal 9th in the club's all-time top scorer list alongside Albert Kinsey, but still some way behind record holder Tommy Badford, who has 213.
