Dortmund boss Terzic quits weeks after UCL final
Written by I Dig SportsEdin Terzić has left his role as Borussia Dortmund head coach despite leading the team on an improbable run to the Champions League final earlier this month.
Terzić, who stepped into the role on a permanent basis before the 2022-23 season having worked in various positions at the club since 2018, led the team to a fifth-placed finish in the Bundesliga in 2023-24 and qualification for next year's top tier of continental competition.
Dortmund lost 2-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final on June 1, owing to goals from Vinícius Júnior and Dani Carvajal.
In the previous campaign, Dortmund led the Bundesliga going into the final day of the season, only to surrender the title to perennial rivals Bayern Munich following an unexpected draw with Mainz.
