Sergio Ramos is to leave Sevilla for the second time at the end of his contract, the LaLiga club announced on Monday.

Ramos, 38, played 37 times in all competitions last term as Sevilla finished 14th, scoring seven goals.

On Tuesday, Ramos will appear at a news conference at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium alongside José María del Nido Carrasco, Sevilla's president, to formally announce his departure.

He began his career with Sevilla, making his first-team debut in February 2004, before moving to Real Madrid in 2005 for 27 million ($28.9m).

He won five LaLiga titles with Madrid as well as four Champions League trophies. In the summer of 2021 he moved to Paris Saint-Germain, where he won two Ligue 1 titles.

Ramos was also an integral part of the Spain teams that won the 2010 World Cup, Euro 2008 and Euro 2012.

He has been linked with a move to MLS team San Diego FC.
