Toss Sri Lanka chose to bat vs Malaysia

Chamari Athapaththu, the Sri Lanka captain, elected to bat first against Malaysia with a semi-final spot in the women's Asia Cup well within their sight.
Sri Lanka made as many as four changes to the XI that beat Bangladesh two nights ago. Sugandika Kumari, Udeshika Prabodhani and Achini Kulasuriya were among those who have made way as they made sweeping changes to the bowling department. In came Ama Kanchana, Inoshi Priyadharshani and Sachini Nisansala. In the batting department, Hasini Perera was left out to accommodate Kawya Kavindi.
Malaysia made one change with 16-year-old Nur Izzatul Syafiqa handed an international debut in place of Jamahidiya Intan.

This is a must-win for Malaysia, who were beaten convincingly by Thailand in their opening fixture.

Sri Lanka: 1 Vishmi Gunaratne, 2 Chamari Athapaththu, 3 Harshitha Samarawickrama, 4 Kavisha Dilhari, 5 Nilaksha Silva, 6 Anushka Sanjeewani (wk), 7 Ama Kanchana, 8 Inoshi Priyadharshani, 9 Kawya Kavindi, 10 Sachini Nisansala, 11 Shashini Gimhani

Malaysia: Winifred Duraisingam (capt), Wan Julia (wk), Elsa Hunter, Mahirah Izzati Ismail, Ainna Hamizah Hashim, Aina Najwa, Amalin Sorfina, Suabika Manivannan, Aisya Eleesa, Dhanusri Muhunan, Nur Izzatul Syafiqa
