Written by I Dig Sports
The Arizona Diamondbacks activated All-Star second baseman Ketel Marte from the 10-day injured list Friday.
Marte has been out since Aug. 18 after aggravating a left ankle sprain during a game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
He first injured the ankle against the Philadelphia Phillies on Aug. 10, when Garrett Stubbs rolled into him in a headfirst slide at second base.
Marte is third in the NL with a .298 batting average to go with 30 home runs and 81 RBIs.
