GB's Burrage wins on return from injury
Written by I Dig SportsGreat Britain's Jodie Burrage earned a win on her return to action after six months out because of injury.
The 25-year-old played Lina Soussi in qualifying for the Jasmin Open in Tunisia and claimed a 6-2 6-3 victory.
Burrage had to have surgery after sustaining a left wrist injury during practice for the San Diego Open in February, before suffering an ankle injury in May.
She broke Soussi five times in the match compared with losing her serve on only one occasion.
Burrage also served six aces as she completed her win in one hour five minutes.
