Call for Wild Cards to the 2024 ITTF World Hopes Week & Challenge now open

With the last continental Hopes week in its final stages in Asia, Member Associations are invited to apply for Wild Cards. Up to 7 Wild Card places will be awarded per gender, besides the continental quotas of three places per gender for the Americas, Asia and Europe, two players per gender for Africa and one player per gender for Oceania. In addition, the host nations Member Association Paraguay will be able to nominate one player per gender.

The seven Wild Cards per gender will complete the field for the final showdown in Asunción from 1-7 November 2024.

The selection will be based on the following criteria:

  1. Participation in Hopes pathway activities
  2. Head Coach/Expert evaluation of player from Hopes pathway activities
  3. Performance/results at events
  4. World Ranking U13
  5. Uploaded 1-minute video of player in training

Players attending the World Hopes will be able to take advantage of a competition opportunity as well with the WTT Youth Contender Asunción to be held from 9 November (entry deadline: 9 October).
