Warriors' Curry, Green to sit out Thu. vs. Rockets

The Golden State Warriors ruled out stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green for Thursday's game against the Houston Rockets.

Curry will sit out for the second time in four games because of what the team called "bilateral knee injury management." He did not play in a Nov. 27 home loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder because of pain in both of his knees.

Curry said he was not concerned about the injury but acknowledged it has the potential to become a "nagging" issue. He said he and the Warriors were trying to stay ahead of it but that he wasn't sure if he would have to sit out future games as part of maintenance of the issue.

Green will sit out his second straight game because of left calf tightness. Coach Steve Kerr said Green was scheduled for an MRI on Wednesday. Speaking on his radio show on 95.7 The Game, Kerr said more would be known about the MRI on Thursday.

"He's doing well," Kerr said of Green. "But all in all, I talked to him yesterday, he said he is feeling pretty good. My gut is that it is not going to be a super long-term issue. But we'll have to see what our training staff says tomorrow."

Kerr has said the Warriors will be watching Curry's and Green's minutes and games as they try to keep their veterans fresh.
