Bagnaia Scores COTA MotoGP Round
Written by I Dig Sports
Marc Marquezs winless streak to kick off the MotoGP season came to an end on Sunday at Texas Circuit of The Americas.
Varying track conditions between the rain and dry caused plenty of strategic calls and chaos among the leaders early on as many riders elected for their dry bikes.
Defending champion Francesco Bagnaia took advantage of a Marquez mistake after lap nine, which saw Marquez lose control of his bike and fall down the running order.
Marquez would be unable to continue shortly after due to a damaged bike.
Marquezs brother, Alex Marquez, placed runner-up ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio.
In the teams home race, Trackhouse Racings A.J. Ogura placed ninth while teammate Raul Fernandez placed 12th.
