WELCOME, N.C. – Richard Childress Racing has announced that Danny Stockman will step down as crew chief of the No. 3 NASCAR Cup Series team at the end of the season.

Stockman will remain with RCR in a role which will be announced at a later date.

Stockman led RCR teams and driver Austin Dillon to nine wins and championships in both the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Justin Alexander, who previously led Dillon and the No. 3 team to wins in both the 2017 Coca-Cola 600 and the 2018 Daytona 500, will resume as crew chief for the team for the 2020 season.
