The weeding out of potential College Football Playoff candidates has begun, but probably not in the way we expected. The game we were all eagerly awaiting did not disappoint. No. 2 LSU jumped out to a 20-point halftime lead at No. 3 Alabama, and it looked like the Crimson Tide was toast.
