Four Chili Bowl Entries For Dave Mac Motorsports

BIXBY, Okla. – Dave Mac Motorsports will field four entries at the upcoming 34th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire at Tulsa Expo Raceway.

The driver roster will include California’s Michael Faccinto, Missouri’s Joe B. Miller, Bixby rookie contender Jace McIntosh and a fourth driver to be announced later.

“We’re excited to continue to expand the team and confident that each driver we put in the Dave Mac Motorsports cars will be able to contend each night,” team owner David McIntosh explained. “Hopefully we’ll see at least a couple of them, if not all four, in the Saturday night feature.”

Dave Mac Motorsports made its Chili Bowl debut in 2019 with Cannon McIntosh racing to a fifth-place finish oh his preliminary night before narrowly missing Saturday’s feature cut and Rookie of the Race honors by just one position.

With Cannon McIntosh shifting to Keith Kunz Motorsports for this year’s Chili Bowl, the team has a fourth car available for a driver to be announced later.

“I want guys that I know are capable of contending and running up front,” crew chief Cody Cordell says.  “I know the guys that we have now can do that, Joe B. (Miller) and Michael (Faccinto) have both been in the Saturday night feature, so we know they can get the job done.”

While they hail from California and Missouri, Faccinto and Miller share similar backgrounds in that both are proven Micro Sprint aces that have since excelled in all forms of open wheel cars including Sprint Cars and Midgets whether it be with or without a wing.

California’s Faccinto will be making his ninth career Chili Bowl start after racing into his second Chili Bowl championship feature over the past three years last January.  Faccinto’s fourth-place run in the Thursday qualifying feature marked his second preliminary top-five in the last three years after a fifth-place run in 2017.

A past Chili Bowl rookie-of-the-year, Missouri’s Miller will be making his fifth Chili Bowl appearance.  The 2017 Tulsa Shootout winner in the headliner Winged Outlaw class, Miller raced into the 2016 Chili Bowl championship feature on his first try to net top rookie honors and has raced into preliminary feature action on three out of four tries.

An accomplished Micro Sprint shoe, Jace McIntosh, the older brother to Cannon, will be throwing his hat into the Chili Bowl rookie race.

The qualifying nights for each of the Dave Mac Motorsports entries will be determined later.
