Barcelona had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Real Sociedad, a result that takes them to the top of La Liga at least until Real Madrid play on Sunday.

Sociedad took the lead after only 12 minutes, when Mikel Oyarzabal scored from the spot after Sergio Busquets fouled Diego Llorente.

Barcelona turned it around with goals either side of half-time. Luis Suarez set up Antoine Griezmann for a 38th-minute equaliser, before Suarez got on the scoresheet himself four minutes after the break.

The home side would not leave empty-handed, however, with Alexander Isak making it 2-2 just after the hour.
