CONCORD, N.C. — Longtime motorsports announcer and enthusiast Bob Varsha is battling cancer as the new year begins.
According to Racer.com, Varsha has been diagnosed with a rare form of prostate cancer and will have to undergo several rounds of chemotherapy during the coming months.
Varsha, who has worked IMSA, Formula One, Indy car and other events for ESPN, NBC, SPEED and FOX will be unable to travel for work until at least June.
