Over eight unmissable days of action, the lively seaside city of Busan will play host to the world’s biggest table tennis stars, vying to lead their respective national associations to glory. China will be the team to beat, as they bid for record-extending 22nd gold medals in both men’s and women’s team events.

Interested media who are registered with AIPS or their national press associations will have to apply for their media accreditation before 21 February 2020 to tell the story of table tennis history being made in Busan. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Media interest for the Busan 2020 ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships is expected to be sky-high as the greatest players from all corners of the globe go head to head in what represents the last World Championships in its current format before the new, expanded World Championships Finals are introduced in 2021 in Houston, United States.

The Busan 2020 ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships also offers players the opportunity to prove themselves on the highest of stages just months before battle commences at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.

In the meantime, stay tuned for all the build-up to the Busan 2020 ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships on social media using the official hashtag #ITTFWorlds2020!
