DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Ross Chastain will compete in two of NASCAR’s marquee events this year thanks to sponsorship from AdventHealth.
Chastain will drive the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which will be prepared by Chip Ganassi Racing, in the Daytona 500 at Daytona Int’l Speedway and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
AdventHealth will be the primary sponsor of Chastain in both events.
“To have the opportunity to run the Daytona 500 is awesome, and it’s great to do it this year with AdventHealth on board my car,” Chastain said. “I’ve only had one start in the Daytona 500, and can’t wait to run that race again in what I know will be a competitive car. I’m also looking forward to racing the Coca-Cola 600. That’s another iconic race that all of us want to win.”
Chastain made his Daytona 500 debut last February aboard the No. 15 Chevrolet fielded by Jay Robinson. He started 36th in the 40-car field, finishing 10th. He’s also competed in the Coca-Cola 600 the last two seasons driving for Robinson, earning a best finish of 24th.
“With our injector at the Daytona Int’l Speedway, we’ve been able to engage with the hundreds of thousands of race fans that attend Speedweeks, but are beyond thrilled to have an AdventHealth car racing in the Daytona 500 for the first time ever,” said David Banks, Chief Strategy Officer, AdventHealth. “I can’t wait to watch Florida’s own Melon Man race on the track this year in our watermelon-themed AdventHealth Chevy.”
Chastain is scheduled to run the full NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule for Kaulig Racing this year. He has scored two Xfinity Series victories and three NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series victories during his career.
AdventHealth also announced Thursday that the healthcare company would sponsor Kyle Larson in two NASCAR Cup Series events as part of its continued support of Chip Ganassi Racing.
