KOKOMO, Ind. – Kokomo Speedway’s 73rd season of competition will feature 19 diverse dates, primarily involving non-winged sprint cars, when its schedule kicks off in April.

The quarter-mile Indiana dirt track’s season calendar is headlined by its traditional four non-winged sprint car majors – the King of Kokomo on May 3, the Kokomo Klassic on May 31, the Darland Memorial on June 21 and the Kokomo Klash on Oct. 16.

When it comes to touring series invading Kokomo in 2020, the NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series will kick things off with the Kokomo Grand Prix on April 24-25, followed by the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions on May 17.

The USAC midgets will return for an Indiana Midget Week date on June 7 before the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series brings Indiana Sprint Week to the bullring on July 25.

USAC brings the sprint cars back to Kokomo for four nights in late August, with #GYATK Night taking center stage on Wednesday, Aug. 26, before three nights of Sprint Car Smackdown IX follow from Aug. 27-29.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series invades for the lone fendered date at the track on Sept. 25, while Kokomo’s 2020 schedule will be capped by the track’s biggest night of the season, featuring the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series on Oct. 24.

The track points season begins on April 24-25 during the Grand Prix, while the Vince Osman Season Championship wraps up the championship portion of the schedule on Sept. 6 as part of Labor Day Weekend.

Justin Grant is the reigning non-winged sprint car track champion at Kokomo Speedway.
