43 Entries For 62nd Annual Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The official entry list for the 62nd running of the Daytona 500 has been released, featuring 43 competitors hoping to compete in the annual season opener for the NASCAR Cup Series at Daytona Int’l Speedway.
Headlining the entry list are seven Daytona 500 winners, including defending winner Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Austin Dillon, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson.
The entry list also features six NASCAR Cup Series champions, including defending series champion Kyle Busch, Johnson, Logano, Harvick, Kurt Busch and Martin Truex Jr.
There are a number drivers attempting to make their first start in the Daytona 500, including Quin Houff, Brennan Poole, Justin Haley, John Hunter Nemechek, Christopher Bell, Cole Custer, Chad Finchum and Timmy Hill.
There are seven teams on the entry list who are not guaranteed starting positions in the Daytona 500 and must qualify for the race either by time during Daytona 500 qualifying or through the Can-Am Duel races.
Those drivers and teams are Haley (Kaulig Racing), Reed Sorenson (Premium Motorsports), Finchum (MBM Motorsports), J.J. Yeley (Rick Ware Racing), Brendan Gaughan (Beard Motorsports), Hill (MBM Motorsports) and Daniel Suarez (Gaunt Brothers Racing).
