Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is getting a precautionary MRI on his left knee, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.
The NBA's reigning MVP landed hard on the floor and tweaked the knee in the second half of the Bucks' loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, but he stayed in the game.
After the fall, Antetokounmpo remained on the court for some time while teammates surrounded him. He wore a compression sleeve on the knee after the game and was seen limping in the locker room.
In addition, Antetokounmpo required three stitches to his lip, which had been split open during the 113-103 loss.
