Stockton Pushing Ahead With Racing Schedule

STOCKTON, Calif. – Concern over the coronavirus outbreak has altered schedules across the United States, but Stockton Dirt Track and Stockton 99 Speedway are pushing ahead.

All 2020 schedules at both tracks will remain in effect, with no cancellations at this time.

On March 11, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that California public health officials issued an updated policy on gatherings to protect public health and slow the spread of COVID-19.

The state’s public health experts have determined that gatherings should be postponed or canceled across the state until at least the end of March.

Both race tracks, as well as the San Joaquin Asparagus Festival, have partnered with Medline, providing Noceti Group Inc. with products to keep everyone safe during their events. Those include, but are not limited to, standalone hand sanitizer dispensers, latex gloves and cleaning supplies.

Noceti Group Inc. will continue to closely monitor the current conditions and guidance from local and state authorities. Track officials have been in close contact with state and county officials, as well as the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, discussing the related issues amid the country’s concerns over COVID-19.

This weekend’s swap meet at Stockton 99 Speedway has been been postponed to Sunday, March 22 due to upcoming weather conditions.

The next scheduled race at Stockton 99 Speedway will be the season opener on Sunday, April 5, featuring the Stockton late model, Legends of the Pacific, Bomber, B4-Cylinder, mini cup and Bandolero classes.

Grandstand gates will open to the public at 1 p.m. for the special Sunday event.
