Frog Fuel Backing Williams & DGM At Bristol

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Carrying momentum and knocking on the door of the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs, Josh Williams has added another new partner to his No. 92 DGM Racing Chevrolet Camaro team.

Williams will fly the colors of Frog Fuel, a veteran-owned and American-made health and wellness company, on his car during Monday night’s Cheddar’s 300 presented by Alsco at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

Frog Fuel’s trademark nano-hydrolyzed collagen protein was developed by a Stanford biochemist, with the help of a pair of former Navy SEALs. It is designed to be a portable, ready-to-drink, liquid protein that comes in one-ounce single-serving packets, so consumers can fulfill their daily protein needs without messy powders or bulky protein shakes.

In addition, Frog Fuel’s scientifically advanced protein is proven to digest more than four times faster than leading whey proteins, and helps consumers recover up to twice as quickly, all due to its molecules being two to 10 times smaller than other proteins currently on the market.

The Frog Fuel paint scheme will be predominately black with camouflage trim on the sides, nodding to the “black ops” missions that many military members – particularly Navy SEALs – have to undertake while deployed.

Frog Fuel’s sponsorship continues Williams’ recent theme of patriotism with his Xfinity Series backers and paint schemes, falling in line with the No. 92 team’s recent two-race deal with Open for Business Again and Chasing Freedom – who combined to adorn Williams’ cars at both Darlington and Charlotte.

“As a veteran owned business, we’ve always been impressed by NASCAR’s support for veterans, military members, and their families, so we’re excited to finally get involved with the organization,” said Frog Fuel co-founder and CEO Alexander Kunz. “We chose to work with Josh Williams because we see a lot of ourselves and the story of our company in him. We’ve always had respect for underdogs like Josh, who put in the hard time and effort to achieve their dreams against the odds. He’s smart, hard-working, and dedicated to his craft, which completely aligns with our values at Frog Fuel.

“Like Josh, we also started as an underdog. We developed and launched our unique collagen protein when the market was overcrowded with thousands of competitors that had more resources and influence than we did,” Kunz added. “But, we confidently forged forward with just our savings and the support of a few friends who believed in us. It was hard work, but now our protein products are trusted by nearly 4,000 medical facilities and tens of thousands of customers around the world. We see Josh’s dedication and hard work paying off just like ours did, so we decided to jump in and help him get there.”

Meanwhile, rekindling its association with Williams and DGM Racing is Verve Systems LLC, which will serve as an additional backer for Williams during the Bristol Xfinity Series event.

Verve previously served as a primary partner for Williams during the October 2019 event at Texas Motor Speedway and will be represented on the rear decklid of the No. 92 Monday night.

“Our nation, now more than ever, needs to reopen and remain united. We are thrilled to be supporting Josh Williams and DGM Racing with an American sport in the form of NASCAR,” said Verve CEO Tim Klund, who helped to bring Williams and Frog Fuel together for Bristol. “It fits our Verve customer beliefs about athletic performance and personal improvement. We know our fellow sponsor partners are in lock step with us about opening America back up for business and leading the economic recovery. Many of our businesses already collaborate, and bringing our sponsor resources together was a no brainer. The benefits are beyond belief.

“Josh is a fine young man and driver, he supports children wherever he goes, and is a terrific example of what America can produce. We are stoked to support him again.”

Williams is coming off a 14th-place finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway as he and the rest of the Xfinity Series head into the first short-track race of the year. He currently ranks 15th in overall driver points and 14th on the provisional playoff grid, sitting just 17 points behind the cut line in 12th.

Considering the strength that his recent influx of new partners has brought to the team, Williams is confident that he can contend for his sixth finish of 16th or better in a row, also chasing his second top-10 finish of the season following a similar result at California’s Auto Club Speedway in February.

“We couldn’t be happier to bring Frog Fuel onboard for Bristol and to have them be a part of our DGM Racing team,” said Williams. “These last few months have been times I don’t think any of us have seen or will see again in our lifetime, and to have the privilege to represent veteran-owned businesses over the last few weeks has been humbling, to say the least.

“Frog Fuel focuses on recovery and repair and I’m looking forward to using their product before and after our races and hope to help share their brand and its benefits not only with our fan base, but my fellow competitors and teams.”

Of note, series sponsor Xfinity will salute a variety of military community employees from across the company on Monday by placing the employees’ names on the windshield headers of each car.

Williams’ car will salute retired Marine Corps serviceman Anthony Woods, who now serves as an assistant manager of merchandise for Universal Orlando Florida.

The Cheddar’s 300 presented by Alsco is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time on Monday night, with live coverage on FS1, the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
