CONCORD, N.C. – Chase Elliott will lead the NASCAR Cup Series field to the green flag when the series visits his home track, Atlanta Motor Speedway, on Sunday.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver was lucky enough to draw the pole in a random draw that set the starting lineup for Sunday’s 325-lap race. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Aric Almirola will join him on the front row.

Like previous events featuring no qualifying, positions 1-12 were determined via random draw for charter teams in those positions in owner points. Positions 13-24 and 25-36 were determined the same way, with positions 37-40 filled by open, no-charter teams based on their positions in owner points.

Joey Logano will start Sunday’s race from the third position, followed by Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney, Alex Bowman, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin.

Sunday’s race will air live at 3 p.m. on FOX.
