CONWAY, Ark. – This Thursday through Saturday the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series squares off against the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway in the annual General Tire Clash at The Mag presented by Big River Steel.

The weekend includes three big shows over the course of three nights.

“Our drivers are excited, our fans are excited, and our staff is excited,” COMP Cams Super Dirt Series CEO Chris Sullivan noted. “This was already a big weekend on our schedule, but with this being the biggest race so far in the area this year, it’s an even bigger weekend. Our teams are obviously facing a tough challenge going up against the Lucas Oil Series regulars, but I have no doubt that our drivers will hold their own. I’m looking forward to a great weekend of racing.”

The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series is led into battle by defending series champ, Timothy Culp. The Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man holds a 10-point advantage over Jesse Stovall atop the standings.

Heading into the weekend Tennessee’s Jimmy Owens sits atop the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series standings as the Midwest Sheet Metal Spoiler Challenge Point Leader. He leads Tim McCreadie by 90 points in the battle for the championship.

The three-day General Tire Clash at the Mag – Presented by Big River Steel kicks off on Thursday, June 18 with a complete $5,000-to-win program, which will be captured by the MAVTV cameras for a future broadcast. In addition, Thursday night’s program includes the Crate Racin’ USA Modified Sportsman battling in a complete $500-to-win/$50-to-start event. Hot Shots will also contest a complete event, paying $200-to-win/$50-to-start plus a trophy.

Action continues on Friday, June 19 with the second round of the General Tire Clash at the Mag – Presented by Big River Steel. The competitors will once again go to battle in another complete $5,000-to-win, MAVTV filmed event. In addition, complete programs are scheduled for the Mississippi Street Stock Series ($1,000-to-win/$75-to-start), Crate Racin’ USA Late Models ($700-to-win/$50-to-start), and Ranch House Diner Factory Stocks ($400-to-win/$50-to-start).

The General Tire Clash at the Mag – Presented by Big River Steel earthshaking finale is set for Saturday, June 20. The night’s program is headlined by a $15,000-to-win, 100-lap finale, which will be shown on MAVTV at a later date. Rounding out the program are the MSSS Street Stocks ($1,000-to-win /$75-to-start), Crate Racin’ USA Late Models ($1,000-to-win /$50-to-start), and Glenn’s BBQ and Fish Late Model Sportsman ($500-to-win/$50-to-start).
