Sir Everton Weekes, one of the game's great batsmen and part of the trio of legendary 3 Ws, died aged 95 on Wednesday.
Tributes quickly started coming with Cricket West Indies saying: "Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of an icon. A legend, our hero. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and many fans around the world."
The current coach, Phil Simmons, added:

Remember my father being awestruck by the man & his batting abilities. Chappelli too used to frequently gush over his talents. Thank you Sir, for your immense contribution to our game.#RIPWeekes
