BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Humboldt Speedway will welcome back both the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League and the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League on Friday, July 10.
The event will be both POWRi Midget Leagues’ second visit to Humboldt Speedway.
Both POWRi Midget Leagues will go head to head, starting off a three-day race weekend.
Night one will be at the three-eighths-mile, high-banked clay oval at Humboldt, Kan., followed by a two-day show at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Mo.
The last time the POWRi Midget Leagues visited the speedway, 23 drivers were in attendance. Jesse Colwell, who then drove the No. 71 for Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports and earned the 2019 POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League title, captured the win from seventh position and reached the checkered flag first.
Who will capture the win and take themselves to victory lane at Humboldt?
Among the favorites will be current POWRi National Midget League point leader Jake Neuman, as well as KKM teammates Cannon McIntosh and Buddy Kofoid, both of whom have multiple POWRi victories already this season.
McIntosh is coming off a Friday-night win during the Midget Roundup for the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League last weekend at Airport Raceway in Kansas.
Pits will open at Humboldt on race day at 2 p.m., with the drivers meeting taking place at 6:30 p.m. and hot laps beginning at 7:15 p.m.
For fans unable to make it to the race track, SPEED SPORT Network affiliate POWRi TV will stream all the action live.
