BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Due to ongoing COVID-19 constraints, POWRi officials have announced updated league schedules through August in effort to adhere to ongoing public gathering restrictions and special limitations on a state by state basis.
The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League has announced the cancelation of seven events, including races at Jacksonville Speedway (July 24), Tri-City Speedway (July 25) and Belle-Clair Speedway (July 31, Aug. 21, Sept. 5-6 and Oct. 3)
In their places, Jacksonville Speedway will host the series on July 31 and Aug. 23, Macon Speedway will host races on Aug. 1 and Aug. 22, Lincoln Speedway will host the tour on Aug. 2 and Port City Speedway will host the series on Oct. 15.
The race on Oct. 15 at Port City Raceway will be known as the Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner State 55, with the winner of the 55-lap feature earning $5,500 in honor of the late Donnie Ray Crawford.
For the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League, five races have been canceled. They include three events at Valley Speedway (Aug. 15, Sept. 12 and Sept. 26), 34 Raceway (Sept. 5) and Bethany Motor Speedway (Sept. 6).
Among the changes on the schedule for the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League is a change in date for the Ultimate Challenge at Southern Iowa Speedway, which will now take place on Aug. 9.
Valley Speedway will host the King of Kansas City on July 18 and the Helm Family Memorial on Aug. 29. Lastly, Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., will host the Non-Wing Nationals on Sept. 5-6.
