800 pounds (362 kg) of dynamite was set off to end three decades of history of the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
The multi-purpose arena was the home of the NBA's Detroit Piston, the WNBA's Detroit Shock, the Detroit Vipers of the International Hockey League, the Detroit Safari of the Continental Indoor Soccer League, and the Detroit Fury of the Arena Football League.
