STIGA, the 1944-founded Swedish sports equipment company donated a significant amount of table tennis sportswear and shoes to the ITTF Foundation a couple of weeks ago.

This charitable act comes from the leadership of Felix Wirström, the Marketing Manager of STIGA.

STIGA Sports have made a large donation in kind, primarily in the form of table tennis equipment and shoes. These were transported in over 170 cartons, which were delivered directly from Sweden to Leipzig, Germany.

After going through and sorting all the STIGA supplies, the ITTF Foundation is now working on distributing the donations to the various current global initiatives and projects they have running.

This will bring much needed aid to children and adults in the table tennis community.

In further news, some of the items donated by STIGA were recently handed over to the Iranian Table Tennis Federation (ITTA) as part of the ITTF Foundation’s Emergency Relief Fund. The ITTA is currently in need of help to rebuild its table tennis training facilities, which were severely damaged by the great flood of 2019. Read more about that here.

“We are very happy and take great pride in being able to help the ITTF Foundation in their ongoing quest to use our beautiful sport in order to create a better world” Andreas Zandrèn, CEO STIGA Sports Group AB

The ITTF and ITTF Foundation thank STIGA for their generous donation, certain that this contribution will prove very important in helping people across a wide range of countries.
