We won't know 'for many months to a year' how long immunity will last for recovered Covid-19 patients, Anthony Fauci said Tuesday. Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health and a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, will join Georgetown students for an update on the COVID-19 pandemic, a consideration of its implications for public policy, and a candid conversation on the unique risks and responsibilities young people have in mitigating the spread of COVID-19. The inherent uncertainty of a global pandemic, combined with our evolving and changing understanding of the disease and the effectiveness of potential interventions, presents a unique challenge for policymakers.
