BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League has added Creek County Speedway to its schedule for a stand-alone show on Aug. 15.
The event will see drivers venturing to the quarter-mile, slightly-banked in Sapulpa, Okla., for the first time this season. The last time the POWRi West midgets took on the Creek County track, Jonathan Beason found victory lane.
The pit gates will be open all day at Creek County Speedway, with driver registration from 2:30-5:30 p.m. local time. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with hot laps and racing following starting at 6 p.m.
The POWRi West Midgets season standings currently sees defending champion Andrew Felker atop the order with a total of 1,090 points. He sits comfortably ahead of second place Chance Morton.
Falling in third is New Berlin, Ill., resident Jake Neuman. Rookie Trey Gropp continues to impress in fourth place, while Kade Morton rounds out the POWRi West top five with plenty of action still to hit the race track this season.
For fans who can’t make it out to the track and don’t want to miss any of the action, all of the action from the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League can be streamed live and on-demand through SPEED SPORT TV affiliate POWRi TV.
